Quick answer

What is FIBC ERP software?

FIBC ERP software is business software built around how a jumbo bag plant runs. Formezy keeps each bag design with its dimensions, fabric, loops, liner and safe working load, tracks fabric rolls from the loom through coating and cutting, counts bags stitched per operator, stores test results against the design and production lot, and produces bale labels and dispatch documents from the same record.

Every bag starts with its design

An FIBC order is defined by its design: body construction such as U-panel, four-panel or circular, dimensions, fabric GSM and coating, loop type and length, top and bottom spouts or flaps, liner, baffles, documents pouch and the safe working load (SWL) with its safety factor. Where the customer needs it, the design also records the electrostatic type (A, B, C or D) and any food-contact or UN requirements.

In Formezy each design is a master record. The cutting plan, material requirement, stitching instructions and test parameters all come from it, so the shop floor builds what was sold.

From fabric roll to stitched bag

Fabric rolls are numbered as they come off the loom, with width, GSM and weight. Coating is booked roll by roll with its coating weight and compound consumption. Panels are cut against the design, and offcuts are booked so fabric used per bag is known.

  • Roll-wise fabric stock by GSM, width, coating and colour
  • Panels, loops, spouts and liners prepared against each order
  • Bags stitched counted per operator and stitching line per shift
  • Thread, webbing and liners consumed per bag

Testing records that travel with the lot

Safe working load, safety factor and top-lift test results are stored against the bag design and the production lot, together with dimension, loop and stitching checks. Lots can be held until results are entered, and the documents are printed or emailed with the dispatch, so a customer asking about a specific lot gets an answer from the record, not from a file cabinet.

Wastage, cost and dispatch

Waste is booked where it happens: tape start-up, weaving, coating, cutting and stitching. Regrind returns to stock for later recipes. Because resin, coating, webbing, thread, liners and labour are booked against the order, cost per bag comes from actual consumption.

At the end of the line, bags are cleaned, folded and baled with labels that carry the design, SWL and lot. The packing list, invoice and e-way bill come from the same record.

Bag types and specifications you can manage

Formezy handles the full range of FIBC constructions and options as part of each design, so orders, cutting plans and test records always match the bag being made.

  • Body construction: U-panel, four-panel, circular (tubular) and baffle bags
  • Loops: cross-corner, side-seam and other loop styles with their lengths
  • Filling and discharge: spouts, duffle tops and flat bottoms
  • Liners, coatings, document pouches and labels
  • Safe working load, safety factor and electrostatic type

Questions

FIBC ERP: common questions

Still have a question?

Talk to a plastic ERP specialist about your own plant and process route.

Can Formezy store FIBC bag designs with SWL and safety factor?

Yes. Each design records its dimensions, construction, fabric, loops, spouts, liner, safe working load and safety factor, and is used for cutting, material planning and testing.

How are FIBC test results recorded?

Safe working load, safety factor and top-lift test results are stored against the design and the production lot. Lots can be held until results are entered.

Can it track bags stitched per operator?

Yes. Stitching output is booked per operator and line per shift, with thread and webbing consumption per bag, which also supports piece-rate calculations in HR.

Does it handle both in-house and purchased fabric?

Yes. Rolls from your own looms and purchased rolls are both stocked roll-wise with GSM, width and weight, and traced into the bags made from them.

Can the same system run woven sacks and FIBC?

Yes. Tape extrusion, weaving, coating, lamination, printing, cutting and stitching run on one record for woven sacks, FIBC, leno and BOPP bags.
